Description:
A Piston Ring is a type of piston ring used in internal combustion engines. Gray cast iron is a popular material used for piston rings due to its ability to provide an adequate seal and not gall or scuff the cylinder bore. The forming process for gray iron piston rings is similar to that used to manufacture a ductile iron ring.
Attributes:
● Manufactured to withstand varying pressures and temperatures
● Provides resistance to chemicals and other environmental factors
Applications:
A Piston Ring is used to seal the clearance between the mating parts, this is mostly used in Cat 16 Motor Grader, 1693, D343A, D346, D348, and D349 Engine (Piston), 619C, 630A, 630B, 632, 631A, 631B, 631C, 633, 633C, 637, 641, 641B, 650, 650, 660, 666, 650B, 660B, 651, 651B, 657, 657B, 660, 666 and 666B Wheel Tractor Scrapers, 631B, 631C, 633, 633B, 637, 641, 641B, 650, 650B, 651, 651B, 657, 657B, 660, 660B and 666, 666B Scraper, 768B, 769, 769B, 772, 773, 776, 777, 779, 781 and 786 Truck, 772 and 776 Wagon, 786 Bottom Dump Body, 824, 824B, 830M and 834 Wheel Type Tractor, 825B, 826B and 835 Compactor, 983 Track Loader, 988 and 992, 992B Wheel Loader, 988 Carry Loader - Power Shift, D10 Track Type Tractor.
