A Starting Motor Ring Gear, also known as a flywheel ring gear, is a toothed ring that is mounted on the flywheel, which is a rotating disc connected to the engine's crankshaft. The flywheel gear transfers torque from the starter motor to the engine's crankshaft, enabling the combustion process to begin. It also helps to maintain the rotational momentum of the engine.
