Description:
An Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler is operated in diesel engines to reduce the temperature of the exhaust gas before it is recirculated back into the Engine. It is located between the exhaust manifold and the EGR valve and is assembled to the Engine via hoses or pipes. It is designed to cool the exhaust gas by passing it through a series of tubes or fins that are cooled by engine coolant or air. The exhaust gas flows through the cooler, and as it does, it is cooled by the coolant or air that is flowing over the tubes or fins.
Attributes:
• Designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures without leaking or failing of emission
• Manufactured to precise specifications and built for durability and reliability
• Developed to remain in proper alignment and not become misaligned
Applications:
An Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler is used in engines to reduce emissions by cooling the exhaust gas to reduce the amount of NOx produced during combustion, this is mostly used in Cat 236D, 242D, 246D, 257D, 259D, 262D, 277D, 279D, 287D and 289D Skid Steers, 259D, 287D, 308E and 908M 308, 308.5, 308E, 309 and 310 Excavators, 308E Scraper, 906M, 907M and 908M Wheel Loader, AP300, AP300F, AP355, and AP355F Paving Equipment.
