A Piston Motor is designed to convert hydraulic energy into mechanical energy. It consists of a housing, pistons, cylinder block, valve plate, and a shaft. When pressurized hydraulic fluid enters the motor through the inlet port, it flows into the valve plate, which directs the fluid to the appropriate pistons, causing them to move back and forth within their respective cylinders. This reciprocating motion is transmitted to the shaft, which rotates as a result.
