Description:
An Air cleaner cover, also known as a pre-cleaner, is an important component of the air intake system in machines. It is designed to protect the air filter from debris and large particles such as dust, dirt, and leaves. The pre-cleaner works by separating large debris from the incoming air stream before it reaches the air filter. It features a series of vanes that help to create a swirling motion in the incoming air stream, which causes the larger particles to be flung outwards and away from the air filter.
Attributes:
• Helps to extend the life of the air filter by preventing it from clogging prematurely.
• O ring is used as a seal to prevent dust and other contaminants from entering the element.
Applications:
An Air cleaner cover is located on top of the air cleaner housing and is secured in place with bolts or clips it is widely used in Cat 336, 336F, 340, 345, 349D, 350, 374, 395, 6040, and MH3050 Excavators, AD63 Articulated Truck, MD6250, MD6310, and MD6640 Drills, MH3250 Material Handlers.
